It takes 30 minutes to drive from Richmond to Elk Hill Varina. Our school is located east of the Richmond airport.

The Harambee School at Elk Hill Farm is located on our original campus in Goochland County. It is an hour’s drive from downtown Richmond or Charlottesville.

Our newest school, Elk Hill Charlottesville is located in the heart of Charlottesville.

If you would like to learn more about Elk Hill, please let us know. On a quarterly basis, we host events in Richmond and in Charlottesville where you can meet our Executive Director and learn about our programs.

Harambelicious Café

The young women of the Harambee School at Elk Hill farm will prepare a delicious, home-made lunch for you at a bargain price. The Harambelicious Café opens its doors once a month. Please contact us for a list of dates.

Sports – Soccer, Basketball and Softball

Elk Hill students participate in the Richmond Alternative Schools Sports League games. We play soccer in the fall, basketball all winter, and softball come spring. Come cheer on our students as they give it their all.
