Therapeutic Day Treatment

The Therapeutic Day Treatment program serves students through a combination of psychotherapeutic interventions, education and mental health treatment in order to improve the student’s level of functioning in the classroom and major life activities. Elk Hill provides case managers who are present throughout the school day to provide classroom interventions, psycho educational groups as well as individual and family counseling. The program provides opportunities and activities that enhance social and interpersonal skills, anger management, impulse control, appropriate self expression as well as problem solving skills and techniques. The service also includes individual counseling and weekly contact as well as medication education and management. Elk Hill employs highly qualified and diverse Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP’s) to provide Therapeutic Day Treatment services as well as Licensed Mental Health Professionals (LMHP’s) to provide counseling services and supervision to all QMHP’s.
