We are looking for a part-time Certified Substance Abuse Counselors (CSAC) that can provide individual, group and family therapy for designated youth in Elk Hill’s residential programs in Charlottesville, VA. This counselor will be required to provide therapy and support the residents with counseling as needed or required. Training will be provided. This counselor will be responsible for providing and documenting weekly individual substance abuse counseling for residents and providing and documenting weekly group substance abuse counseling for residents.

*This position is part-time, 25 hours a week but could potentially move to full-time*

If you decide to apply, we are hoping that you have:

  • A Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or Human Services* related field and a combination of two years professional experience with children. Must be a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC) or,

  • A Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or Human Services* related field and a combination of one-year professional experience with children. Must be board approved as license eligible, preferred.

  • Substance Abuse experience, required

  • Experience with providing therapeutic services to at-risk youth, preferred
