Elk Hill is currently recruiting for a full-time School Counselor for our Elk Hill Charlottesville School.
Employees in this role will foster academic, personal, social, and career development which will enable adolescents to make positive changes in attitude, values and behavior utilizing strength-based treatment modality.
Duties include but are not limited to, maintain accurate and up-to-date student files, conduct and document individual counseling sessions, facilitate and provide individual and group counseling, work closely with referring agencies and parents.
We are looking for candidates that:
Has a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work/Counseling/Psychology/Education and counseling related experience; preferred Master’s Degree in Social Work/Counseling/Psychology/Education
Must have extensive experience working with students with learning disabilities and social skill development, including a minimum of three years’ experience counseling elementary students with learning disabilities.
Exhibit consistent personal integrity in dealings with youth, families, co-workers, and community agencies
