Elk Hill is currently recruiting for full-time History Teacher/Special Education Teachers at the Elk Hill Charlottesville School.  Employees in this role develop and provide a learning experience for each student that is responsive to their unique educational needs in accordance with their total program goals. Other duties include: developing and implementing individualized plans, providing a positive classroom environment for learning, managing the emotional challenges of each youth, and maintaining complete records on the academic achievement of each student.

Employees must have received or willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccination by date of hire to be considered. Proof of vaccination is required. Elk Hill Farm, Inc. is most concerned with the overall health and safety of the youth and families we serve, and staff associated with our organization.


We are looking for candidates that:

  • Hold a valid Virginia teaching license with an endorsement in Special Education or in subject area

  • Have at least one year’s experience working with at-risk youth.

  • Have solid written and verbal communication skills.

  • Exhibit consistent personal integrity with students, families, co-workers and community agencies.
