Elk Hill is currently recruiting for a full-time Philanthropy Manager. The Philanthropy Manager takes the lead in raising funds from foundations, corporations, and private donors in Richmond, Charlottesville, and surrounding regions. This position manages the tracking system for grants, including proposal and report, calendars and cultivation, and stewardship systems and processes. Additional responsibilities include developing and stewarding a portfolio of donors and coordinating projects that will help expand and sustain fund development programs for Elk Hill Farm, Inc.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent combination of experience and education

  • 2+ years of successful grant writing experience, with 3-5 years of relevant fundraising experience, preferred.

  • Familiarity with Charlottesville or Richmond Funding Community, preferred

  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skill

  • Well-organized, detail-oriented, result-oriented, proactive

  • Strong computer skills including fundraising database experience and knowledge of basic web-based communication channels and programs
