Elk Hill is currently recruiting for a full-time, School Counselor at our Elk Hill Charlottesville School in Charlottesville, VA. This employee will be responsible for fostering academic, personal, social, and career development which will enable students to make positive changes in attitude, values and behavioral utilizing strengths based on treatment modality. The School Counselor will also assist staff members with identifying and resolving student issues, needs and problems. As an Elk Hill employee, this person will work to promote an atmosphere of openness, honesty, and understanding among students and staff.

We are looking for candidates that:

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work / Counseling / Psychology / Education and counseling related experience or

  • Master's degree in Social Work / Counseling / Psychology / Education, preferred

  • Leadership abilities

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and without direct supervision
