Elk Hill is currently in need of part-time Therapeutic Mentors in the Charlottesville and Staunton areas. Duties include but are not limited to, serve as a positive adult role-model for at-risk youth to develop interpersonal and social skills, constructive use of leisure time, problem-solving skills and other age-appropriate behaviors.
Must have experience working with adolescents and/or children and a desire to make a difference in the lives of our youth; as well as the ability to work independently, have solid written and verbal communication skills and exhibit consistent personal integrity in dealing with clients, families, co-workers and community agencies. Requires a good driving record, reliable transportation, ability to travel and work evenings/weekends.
